Traditional Photography
To print a photograph is a surprisingly enjoyable thing to do. The concentration on doing traditional handwork in the tranquility of a darkened room is for itself already really pleasing.
The workflow in traditional film photography is completely in your own hands. You choose your steps from taking the photograph over developing your negatives to carefully printing the photograph. As its best, you even can visualize the final print, before even having taken the shot.
At the end, you get a feeling for the photograph as an object in your own hands.
The darkroom in Lahti
The printmaking workshop ”painovoima” in Lahti has a darkroom, which is rentable. From time to time I offer courses in traditional photographic processes.
Next course will be held about November 2018. Write me an email to get more information.
